Summer Reading Game

Come to the library once to sign up and get your reading log. Then visit the library two more times during the summer AND:

  • read 10 books or
  • read 1,000 pages or
  • read for 10 hours

Each time you visit the library, bring your reading log. You will get a stamp to show that you made a visit.  Prizes must be collected in person by the player.

Additional Rules

  • If the player needs additional visits to complete their reading, he or she may collect up to five “visit” stickers.
  • Players should read books at their current reading level that they enjoy.
  • Books may be read in any language.
  • Players may play the game only one time.
  • Players visiting Berkeley Public Libraries other than their “home” library may pick up a “visit” sticker during their visit. For example, if you are playing at North Branch, you may pick up a “visit” sticker from Central or Claremont.
  • Audio books, as well as being read to, count as a book.
