Searching for ebooks
A collection of over 3,000 ebooks and audio books can be download to your e-reader or computer via the Berkeley Public Library's Overdrive website. You can browse or search for books directly on the BPL Overdrive website, or browse/ search for these same books on the library catalog.
You can sort by book title by clicking on "Title" or limit your search to just e-books or just downloadable audiobooks by clicking on the link in the blue "Format" box.
Refine your search by clicking on the link, "Show more tags."
Looking for a given author or title
Search for a particular author or title by searching for that name or title with "Overdrive." See the example below.
Overdrive is the name of one of BPL's e-book and downloadable audiobook services. Download and listen or read on your PC, Mac®, Kindle or Smartphone today.
How do I use Overdrive on my device?
The link on the library catalog will take you to the Overdrive site. If the book is available for checkout then you will see a blue button that says "BORROW." When you click on the link, you will be asked to chose the format (for example, Kindle or Adobe epub). Select the format for your device. Ebooks can also be read on a computer.
