Our email reference service provides brief answers to factual questions and helps with questions specific to Berkeley's local history, government, and institutions. Please address questions about your library card to the circulation staff.

Reference Department
Need help? The Reference Desk staff answer questions on every topic (except Art and Music and Childrens' questions) and often assist with more complex research. We answer questions in person, by phone, and via email using a variety of information sources, including websites, our non-circulating collection of books, business periodicals, and local history resources.
